Pittsburgh Three Rivers VBC: "Collegiate Coaches with Collegiate Connections"
All coaches work with all club players through the weekly skills clinic as well as coaching their own teams.

Club Director - Mike Bruno
14 Smithfield Head Coach
Head Coach - Point Park University
 
Coach Bruno has coached at Point Park for 4 seasons to which he has completely turned around the program for the Pioneers into not only a winning team, but a conference power. For his immediate efforts, Bruno was named 2006 AMC North Coach of the Year. Bruno has also coached at Waynesburg College where he also turned around a losing program and won 2 PAC Conference championships in 5 seasons with the Yellowjackets including a 36-5 record in 2003. Bruno was also named the PAC Conference Coach of the Year 3 times. He began his collegiate coaching career as an Assistant Coach at California University of PA.
 
Associate Director - Neal Brown
Assistant Coach - Point Park University
Assistant Coach - Upper St. Clair High School Boys
 
Coach Brown comes to Point Park this year and now to P3R after coaching boys at both Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair High Schools as well at coaching boys at the USAV juniors level. In his first two seasons at Point Park, he helped the team to a 25-12 record, a program best. He brings a weath of knowledge and expertise at a higher level of play to P3R specializing in skill technique and game strategy. Prior to returning home to Pittsburgh, Coach Brown worked with the Penn State men's volleyball team helping them to EIVA championships as well as the NCAA semifinals.

Former Assistant Coach - Robert Morris University
Former Head Coach - West Allegheny High School
 
Coach Russell comes to the P3R after reaching the pinnacle with his team at West Allegheny High School by capturing the 2006 PIAA State Championship. While at West Allegheny, his teams have made 5 WPIAL playoff appearances with 3 section championships. In 2005 and 2006, Russell's team played in the WPIAL championship finals followed by the Class-AA state title in 2006. After his championship season, Russell was selected to coach the WPIAL District-7 All-Star team. He currently boasts a career record of 171-47 since 2000 including 4 SWC championships in 6 appearances. He recently was the assistant coach at Robert Morris University.
 
18 Fort Duquesne Head Coach - Rob Snyder
Athletic Director - Butler County Community College
 
Rob is the former coach at the Butler County Community College where the Pioneers won five state championships and three region championships in ten seasons. Rob was the conference coach of the year five times and continues to work at the college in the role of Director of Student Life and Athletics. He is also a USAV Cap II certified coach and served two seasons as the assistant coach at Seneca Valley High school winning a Section Title in 2007. This will be robs seventh year with this club and tenth overall of club volleyball.
 
17 Clemente Head Coach - Julie Howe
Assistant Coach - South Fayette High School
 
This is Julie's first year with P3R. She has just completed her seventh season as an assistant coach at South Fayette High School, where the Lady Lions just came off their fifth-straight WPIAL playoff appearance. Julie has also coached with other volleyball clubs in the area such as Pittsburgh Elite, Renaissance, and Allegheny South.
 
16 th Street Head Coach - Gretchen Mountain
Assistant Coach - South Fayette High School
 
Gretchen makes her way east to P3R as an assistant coach for South Fayette after previously coaching at Canon-McMillan as well as Allegheny South volleyball Club. The Dayton, OH naitive also played volleyball at John Carroll University.
 
15 Birmingham Head Coach - Stephen Rothhaar
 
Steve has been with the club for 7 years since its beginning as Renassance Central. He previously coached at Bishop Leonard Grade School for four years winning 4 section championships and 2 Catholic Diocesan championships. He served as an assistant to Ray Bobak at multiple positions including Seton LaSalle HS Assistant Coach, Assistant Director of the Catholic Diocese Volleyball League. Steve currently works for the Citiparks division of the City of Pittsburgh teaching inner city youth the fundamentals of multiple sports.
 
15 Liberty Head Coach - Kayla Bartoletti

15 Warhol Head Coach - Danielle Rudolph
Assistant Coach - South Fayette High School
 
Danielle is currently working with the South Fayette high school and middle school teams and comes to P3R this year from Allegheny South volleyball club. She previosly played for the Mercyhurst College club team as well as for Bethel Park in high school.
 
14 West End Co-Head Coach - Alaina Gibson
Senior - Robert Morris University
 
The starting libero for the Colonials, Alaina comes to Pittsburgh from Muncie, Indiana where she won the 2004 National High School Championship with Muncie Burris. Since then, she has been named the 2005 NEC Freshman of the Year, to the 2006 All-Conference Team and the 2006 NEC All-Tournament Team.
 
14 West End Co-Head Coach - Cassie Lee
Senior - Robert Morris University
 
Originally from Vista, California, Cassie recently completed her fourth year with the Colonials as an outside hitter and opposite hitter. She was named to the 2007 NEC Conference All-Tournament Team.
 
13 Veterans Head Coach - Valerie Compson
Assistant Coach - Moon Area High School
 
Still fairly new to the Pittsburgh area, this will be Coach Compson's second season coaching with P3R. She recently completed her first season as an assistant coach for Moon Area High School. After a successful playing career at King College in Bristol, TN and in high school in Florida, Valerie has coached various teams across the South starting with Evangelical Christian School, her alma mater, as well as Southwest Sunset VBC in Florida. After graduate school, she moved to Atlanta and got back into coaching with Atlanta Juniors VBC and most recently with North Atlanta Volleyball Club.
 
14 Smithfield Assistant Coach - Jeff Sobek
 
Jeff has been with the club for ten years. He previously coached at Saint Louise Grade School for five years and won several section championships. During his final year, both his junior varsity and varsity teams were section champions and runner's up in the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocesan championship tournaments. Since then he has been involved helping as a volunteer with several high school teams.
