| | Swift, made by Paolo Salvagione of Sausalito, CA; Swift is gone now. |
| | | Paolo made pure-custom bikes in all sorts of materials and configurations. |
| | This particular bike is a ~53cm Cyclocross model in steel (mostly TIG welded). |
| | | Very high BB (12-1/4"); 700c RockShox Paris-Roubaix painted to match. |
| | The bike was in this great shape when I bought it... |
| | | I haven't done anything to it... |
| | Nothing -- including even riding on it (it's way too small for me). |
| | | Paolo (and/or his customer) had great taste when they put this together... |
| | | A WTB/King headset furthher modified to be an "Aheadset" configuration. |
| | A Swift Ti flatbar-style stem; TTT Prima bars. |
| | | Here's the biggest reason I bought this: WTB Mini Cam brakes!!! |
| | These are rarer than rare; Note the (custom?) Brace/Bridge they mount on. |
| | | It's got all the trick little inline cable adjusters. |
| | Seatstay-mounted Mini Cams in back; Ti seatpost and saddle rails. |
| | | These use threaded-stud pads instead of the canti-style pads most WTB Cams did. |
| | Big clearance above tire; Tighter on the sides. |
| | | A very eclectic component mix: Campy Record integrated shifter/brake levers. |
| | Campy Record OR medium cage deraileur; SRP Ti cogs on Dura-Ace cassette. |
| | | Campy Racing-T deraileur, Record cranks/rings; Shimano PD-M747 pedals. |
| | Gearing is pretty wide: 12-28 in back, 39/53 in front. |
| | | And a Shimano chain ties it all together... Shifts pretty nice. |
| | | Wheels and tires definitely setup for Cyclocross. |
| | Also an interesting mix of frame construction: TIG welded up front... |
| | | TIG here too but with an outer "sleeve" on the seat tube. |
| | | But then brazed-on Ritchey dropouts. |
| | And finally a fun, little one-armed rear cable stop. |
