More photo ID
They say third time's the charm
3rd trip to the DMV on May 1. I finally got my
hands on something that they think proves I live here. It doesn't, really, but
who am I to argue?
So I'm all set.
Except that the birth certificate I've been using for the last twenty years,
including two previous successes with DMV, isn't
valid.
Let's see if I can get a new
copy of my birth certificate while my "proof" of residence is still considered
valid. First step: Determining whether I have sufficient proof of who I am to
actually get my birth certificate. It's looking like "no" unless there are
acceptable forms of ID that aren't listed on the request form. Hard to tell for
sure because their web site is down. Psyching myself up for an exciting day of
listening to light covers of Carpenters songs.
