Gosh I'm Proud

Or, The State of Stonesthrow

May is probably the best time of year around here. Not only are there lines at Rita's, but the weather is just perfect--sometimes cool, sometimes warm, sometimes stormy...always interesting and not evil as it will get in just a couple months.

We did some work outside this weekend, and I sat back and decided that we have a fine looking home. OK, we desperately need to get someone to paint railings, and the downstairs bathroom will be renovated soon (and don't even get me started on the side yard), but the curb appeal is quite significant.

So, in that vein, I present Stonesthrow, as she sits, May 2006:

And our rhodies are a little dry now, but still lovely:

And the bed that we cleaned up on the side of the garage, visible from the deck: with a border! Shut up!

So, some of my grandfather's genes (good North Dakota farmboy stock) and my mom genes (definite green thumb) somehow survived. I'm not saying I'm good; I'm just saying that I have my moments.
