Happy Humpday: The Return

Sort of lost my way with the Humpday's list. Sorry about that.

In case you forgot, the Happy Humpday list is made up of the 10 songs on my iTunes Party Shuffle at this very moment.

Without further ado:

1. "Five Fathoms," Everything But The Girl , Temperamental: this whole CD is great, but this song may be my favorite. The infectious chorus is just a repeated line: "I just want to love you more." Who can't relate to that?
2. "The Morning Papers, Prince, O(+>: Not the greatest of songs off of this interesting CD. I mean, it has "7," "Sexy MF," and "My Name is Prince," but then some less interesting songs like this one.
3. "Why Do I Lie?", Luscious Jackson, Fever In, Fever Out: Sort of a strange song, but I am drawn to it every time I play this CD. It has a meandering beat and some great lines. +, Emmylou Harris on background vocals? Um, yeah.
4. "Green Eyes," Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head: I get bored by this song, frankly.
5. "How Long Has This Been Going On," Carmen Mcrae, Verve Remixed: Everyone should experience these songs--classic jazz vocals remixed by contemporary DJs, with some astonishing results (I actually got an email today from Amazon about a new box set, so now you really don't have an excuse).
6. "Rhythm of the Night," some random person, Moulin Rouge: so bad.
7. "Goodbye," The Sundays, Blind: why did The Sundays go away? I rue it monthly, I swear.
8. "Horny Toad," Prince, The Hits: I have no idea what this song is and will fast forward it.
9. "Scared of You," Nelly Furtado, Whoa, Nelly!: I wonder what is going to happen to Nelly. I do like her, but perhaps she is too confusing to the record companies. I wish her well!
10. "Sour Times," Portishead, Roseland NYC: If you have never heard of Portishead, you undoubtedly know this song though, except that this version is live and is amazing. I wish I had seen it.
