Practice 10/5/04
Kudos for all of you who endured the chilly
evening, I though today's practice was quite productive. The first part of the
practice focused on the two of the receiver cuts: 'out and in' and butterfly.
The important thing to remember is that after you make an in cut, you shouldn't
fade into the stack. You should change directions and cut deep to the opposite
site back corner, turning your out and in cut into a butterfly cut. We learned
the play, Subaru, which employes these receiver cuts to start flow. After that
we worked on the pull play. Execution was not great at the end of practice, but
there was a lot of material covered and it was fucking cold. All of these
things will continue to improve of the course of the season with your hard
work.
