Machine Playbook

Sometimes, I can do the whole absent minded professor thing. The playbook I uploaded before was the version 1 of the playbook, not the most current version is 2. Sorry about that. If the playbook you have is 67 pages, then that's version 1. Version 2 has 73 pages. You might want to check on that.

This is the correct and final version of this years playbook. I am going to start referring to it at practice and in my blog.

Spew from earlier post:
If you've been getting my emails over the summer, you've heard this before: The playbook is done. I've run out of time to change it, so I guess it must really be done now. It could probably use another proofreading, but I'm happy with it as it is.

What's different from last year? Everything. The new playbook is nearly a complete rewrite. The topics covered are basically the same as last years playbook, but the description have been rewritten. Hopefully everything is clearer. I added some new plays, a section on fast breaks, and a section on restarting flow. I completely changed the spread offense. I added a lot of detail on handler and receiver cuts in the stack offense. Much of it will be familiar, but in general it is a much more thorough document.

Clocking in at 73 pages, it's certainly long. Don't try to read it in one sitting. Keep it with you in your backpack, and it'll give some something to read on those interminably long bus rides. Keep coming back to it. Each time you read it, hopefully there will be something new for you.
