The Green Valley Mac Users' Group is a special interest group of the Computer Club of Green Valley (gvcc.apcug.org). CCGV is a member club of Green Valley Recreation (gvrec.org). Mac users comprise about 10% of the Computer Club with the MUG having about 150 members.
GV MUG meets every Thursday morning at 9:00am. We don't meet on holidays. Our Fearless Leader is Robby Robinson. Chair of the Mac Maintenance Committee is Brad Brooks. Our Librarian is Claire Amato. Disk of the Month Producer is Brad Brooks. The Schedule Master is Randi Johnson. Our Mac Lab doesn't open without a dozen or so volunteer monitors; and classes only take place as our volunteer teachers permit.
Our address: 921 W. Via Rio Fuerte Green Valley, AZ 85614 (520) 648-4508
We have about 13 Macs; 11 are in the Jane Hedlin Mac Lab for hands-on and small classes; 2 are in the Computer Lab sharing space with PCs. One is on wheels and is brought into the Lecture Hall for MUG meetings and large classes. The PowerMac G5 is provided with a VCR and a Dazzle analog/digital bridge for video editing. Our other equipment includes an original 1984 Mac, an Epson Photo 2200 (wide paper printer), Nikon 4000ED slide scanner, an Epson 2400 flatbed scanner, and an Epson Perfection 4870 scanner.
