26th Infantry
Division
The 26th Infantry Division took over control of the Bigonville sector after the liberation by the 4th Armored Division.
During the Battle of the Bulge, the Yankee Division liberated the villages east of Bigonville: Hostert, Folschette, Eschette, Rambrouch, Koetschette and Arsdorf.
Their major battles in Luxembourg were Grosbous, Arsdorf and further north Eschdorf, Kaundorf, Mon. Schumann crossroads and Wiltz.
