I am a freelance speaker, journalist, broadcaster and book author/editor specialising in social media, small business issues and technology although I can turn my mind to a great deal else.

I had two books out lin 2009and they are pictured below - one is co-written with Prof. Peter Warr of Sheffield University. My new book, "This Is Social Commerce", will be out in December 2011. You can order/pre-order them through these links.

In May 2011 I went to promote the first of these in Malaysia courtesy of MPH Bookstores, the largest book chain in the country. I was pleased to be on the breakfast television show at NTV7, one of the biggest TV channels there, and also did this interview on BFM, the business radio channel:

Here is a link to a cutting from The Star, the biggest national daily newspaper in the country, in which I was pleased to be interviewed:

I also broadcast in the UK occasionally. The clip below is from the BBC News Channel in early 2011, when I reviewed the headlines with newsreader Chris Eakin:

If you hire me I offer:

* A clear speaking voice and confident manner if you require a presenter. I've chaired panels at Bafta, spoken and chaired at the Social Media World Forum in London for a couple of years and am an associate member of the Professional Speaking Association.

* Clear copy delivered punctually if you're using me as a writer

* Extensive experience in a variety of the national press including the Sunday Telegraph, Guardian. Times, Financial Times and Independent - see
cuttings page

* Informed and concise comment if you use me as an expert on your programme - see the broadcasting page

* Enough organisational nous to edit and co-ordinate multiple writers across
book projects and to deliver in a timely manner

* A
media training service for people who want to talk to the press and gain confidence (although if you want to add spin and mislead people about what you do I'm definitely not your man)

...and a great deal more. Thanks for looking in, I'll hope to hear from you sometime.
