mac fever

During my last vacation in Copenhagen I had the chance to show my ibook to a very good friend of mine...

In fact he probably messed with it more then I did during the vacation. My essential internet-on vacation is replying to emails (BTW can you believe that in Denmark I didn't know yet of IMAP ? what a great tool to keep synchronized if you use several computers...and if you own a server, the server side hosting limitations aren't a problem) but he imported pics directly from my camera ( which I borrowed from my brother, so is not really my camera) digital camera burned a cd with pics and music, listened to music with itunes, and checked his webmail with safari.

He came back home, and the mac fever grabbed him. Because he is a PHP programmer and computer lover, he really needed a mac.

Every day he felt the mac inside him calling, he could not think about anything but mac (what an exaggeration ..but after all is my blog..)

So last week I helped him out to buy an emac.
WOW he was so happy (and still his). The baby arrived in his home last saturday and he sent me some pictures. I was so happy too.

In a way I think that seeing friends happy it is very rewarding to me. You know, in a world where almost no one is willing to help "interest-free" I found myself as a bit on an exception, hopefully a good one.

I am very happy because he can now work with something more then a machine, a mac. I am not totally crazy about macs (umh wait..may be I am) but I really thing is the best around to work differently and stand out.

As I said, my Ibook was one of the few material things that made me say WOW in the last years. I am sure it would be pretty much the same for him, so.......good mac and good mac fever to all =)
