MINOR ROCK BLUES: uses minor seventh chords and simpler changes at 120 beats per minute to create a serious, somber or sad mood.

MAJOR ROCK BLUES: uses dominant seventh chords at a 120 beats per minute or more to create a happy, upbeat mood.

JAZZ BLUES: uses both dominant seventh and minor seventh diatonic chords with more changes and substitutions at the fastest blues meter, 175 beats per minute or more, creating a straight-ahead jetting-vector mood.
