Nuestras Raíces es un evento que el Pueblo Aymara realiza durante el mes de febrero en la ciudad de Iquique, Chile. Our Roots is an event organized by the Aymara people in the city of Iquique, Chile during the month of February.
Rito inicial, que convoca a la Madre Tierra, a velar por el evento y ayudar a los organizadores del mismo. The opening ritual, which calls upon Mother Earth to look over the event, and to support the organizers.
El evento multicultural entre sus manifestaciones más importantes contiene talleres. El de Medicina Ancestral fue el taller central del a ño 2003. This multicultural event includes important workshops. Ancestral Medicine was the central theme of 2003.
Otro importante taller fue el de Música Andina, que explica y establece los vínculos entre la cosmovisión Aymara y la sonoridad andina. Another important workshop, about Andean Music, explained and established links between the Aymara cosmovision and Andean sounds.
El taller Paukar Raimi nos introduce en los secretos de la delicada artesanía instrumental de los pueblos del altiplano del continente. The Paukar Raimi workshop di-mystified the craft of making the musical instruments of the peoples of the plains of South America.
Otra de las más atractivas manifestaciones del evento son las embajadas culturales de las diversas comunidades de pueblos originarios, incluyendo las islas de Rapa-Nui. Another attractive element of the event is the participation of cultural embassadors from diverse indigeous comunities, including those from Easter Island.
La danzas ceremoniales convocan los sentidos y nos inician en la comprensión de la diversidad cultural del continente. The ceremonial dances call upon the senses and open us to the understanding of the diverse culture of the continent.
El hipnotizante baile de los “sicuris” nos transporta y nos llena del espíritu que derrama generosamente el Tata Inti, o Padre Sol. The hypnotic “sicuris” dance transports us and fills us with the spirit which flows generously from Tata Inti, or Father Sun.
La invitación a un gran carnaval donde los organizadores, expositores, artistas y el público, comparten la última jornada del evento anual. An invitation to a grand carnival where the organizers, participants, artists and public share the final session of this annual event. |
