Goods from the Woods (GFTW) launches as a project of the Blandin Foundation's Vital Forest/Vital Communities Initiative to demonstrate opportunities to diversify Minnesota's forest-based economy and increase the benefits Minnesotans enjoy from their forests.


The 'Up North' Marketplace debutes with 2,000 visitors and 70+ vendors from all across the Midwest, featuring specialty forest products, demonstrations, and exhibitions.

The 'Up North' Marketplace also features Joe Seliga – a nationally renowned canoe maker and a local Native American drumming band.
