FORS YARD

Welcome to FORS YARD, a more or less chronological account of the software released for the Sega Genesis system in the North American market.

I have attempted, as much as possible, to put the games in their proper historical context by featuring their original print ads, as well as comments and criticisms made by contemporary reviewers, "industry types," and... uh, me. Quotes were selected based upon how insightful, informative, amusing, or downright ridiculous they were. Enjoy!

I've made a few corrections to the 1994 section and fixed a few typos today. Thanks once again to BelPowerslave for pointing most of these out!

The 1994 section is now complete and ready for perusal. Working on this section brought back some fond memories for me, and I hope others will enjoy looking through it as much as I did putting it together.

As you would expect with an update of this size, there are bound to be typos/mistakes/broken links etc. Please let me know if you find any. Enjoy!

Update: February 17, 2008
The 1994 section is finally nearing completion and should be up within the next few weeks. This will be the largest section of the site so far, weighing in at 19 pages and 327 images (some of which are thumbnails of larger images, but you get the idea...).

In other news, I've ditched the ads that had been appearing on the site for the last several months. I'm not quite sure what possessed me to put them on here in the first place, but I've come back to my senses now. Please enjoy the return to the less cluttered look of old :)

I've put up a sharper, cleaner looking version of the Sega Tribute Video today. Meanwhile, work continues on the 1994 section. More on that soon, I hope...
