Alabama seeks Gay-Free Utopia"I don't look at it as
censorship," says State Representative
Gerald Allen. "I look at it as
protecting the hearts and souls and minds of our children."
Alabama republican representative Allen is referring to a bill he has sponsored that would outlaw all public libraries and schools from purchasing plays and books by gay authors or that contain gay characters. Article from CBS News Last year, this legislator threatened to introduce this
legislation, and I guess he's followed
through.
Apparently he has a thing for gays, as he tends to view everything through rainbow glasses. The gays are everywhere! Run for your lives! Here's some more quotes from the article: But in book after book, Allen reads what he calls the "homosexual agenda," and he's alarmed. "It's not healthy for America, it doesn't fit what we stand for," says Allen. "And they will do whatever it takes to reach their goal." He says he sees this as a line in the sand. Home Posted:
