Alabama seeks Gay-Free Utopia

"I don't look at it as censorship," says State Representative Gerald Allen. "I look at it as protecting the hearts and souls and minds of our children."

Alabama republican representative Allen is referring to a bill he has sponsored that would outlaw all public libraries and schools from purchasing plays and books by gay authors or that contain gay characters.

Last year, this legislator threatened to introduce this legislation, and I guess he's followed through.

Apparently he has a thing for gays, as he tends to view everything through rainbow glasses. The gays are everywhere! Run for your lives! Here's some more quotes from the article:

and he's alarmed.

"It's not healthy for America, it doesn't fit what we stand for," says Allen. "And they will do whatever it takes to reach their goal."
