Things are heating up around here

Global warming is happening. When will we wake up and smell the egg frying on the sidewalk?

This year marks another year of record high global temperatures. The Earth is HEATING UP and this year marks the most costly hurricane season on record. The data is alarming and all signs point to humankind as one of the main contributing factors. America is the number one polluter in the world and the number one consumer of fossil fuels. Yet, we turn our backs on the Kyoto treaty. I don't know how we can justify our position. We are supposed to be the economic and moral leaders of the world, yet we trash the world for our own profits.

Hmm, I guess pulling out of the Kyoto treaty wasn't enough, G. W. Bush has stymied any criticism of his policy that will lead to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
