The "Magic Tree" is a 30 foot tall creation put together by
a man in Columbia who spends over 100 hours each year
wrapping each individual branch of this tree with christmas
lights. There are 68,500 individual lights on the tree. The
tree is powered by a total of eleven 20 amp circuits, 8 of
them dedicated to the tree. It is plugged into 19 outlets
with 19 extension cords running from the tree. These
pictures do not even begin to do justice to what it looks
like in real life, but I thought I'd put them up anyway
because even in the pictures it's pretty amazing.
He also does another smaller tree for his church which can
be seen on West Broadway in Columbia.
