Welcome to STARWOOD OBSERVATORY

Starwood Observatory was my home observatory in Lemont, PA, which housed my primary observing instrument, a homebuilt 12.5" f/4.7 Dobsonian named Equinox.

I've since moved to Utah, where I am a professor of Physics at Utah State University. We've bought a house in Paradise, UT on 1+ acres, and I will soon build a new observatory. For now, this is the story of Starwood, which was a fantastic observatory for the short time I was able to use it. The links below will outline the construction and features of the observatory.
