Notes: My wife, Juliet, and I have hosted bi-monthly concerts in our Pacific Grove home since 2003. We invite 30-40 of our close friends, and the performer performs two 45-minute sets in our living room.

We've accumulated over 200 members of a mailing list, which I originally maintained using Evite.com, a website that allowed me to communicate with those visitors and provide an invitation prior to a show. In 2006, I created my own reservation system using PHP and MySQL, that I could integrate into the series' website.

After a show, I interview the artist/band and put the audio file up as a podcast, add anecdotes from the night in a blog, and I add pictures from that night to the website, all of which provides a way to extend my brand to an audience member after they have left the show for the evening.
