Notes: Beginning in 2003, the goal of this project was to completely redesign the online application process. My biggest contribution was to help the members of UHR map their business process, from when an applicant shows interest in a job all the way to when they are chosen by the committee.

The first stage was to build out the different applications for staff, faculty, part-time faculty, Foundation staff, and executives. The next was to build a component to allow committees to perform much of their work online, including pre-evaluation of applications and even voting. This significantly reduced the amount of paper being processed and the number of required meetings.

The main feature we implemented was the profile, which allowed an applicant to apply once and save the bulk of their information for future applications.

Overall, it meant that UHR performs less tasks involving photocopying, arranging meetings, and follow ups to committee chairs, and they have an electronic archive of all applicants.
