What's Wrong With this Picture?
Bush and Cheney still insist that Saddam had
operational links with al Qaeda, and that somehow (in their twisted spin-filled
fantasy land imaginations) Iraq was involved with the 9/11 attacks (it wasn't).
Of course, this has been disproved by more than one source. Even the Federal
government's OWN WEB SITE under the U.S. State Department's
International Information Programs acknowledges the non-existence of a
connection between Iraq and al Qaeda, as indicated in this map I took from their
web page. Do you see Iraq colored in red? Do you see it listed? I seethe when I
hear Cheney shamelessly hissing this lie (and many others) and suggesting that
al Qaeda wants Kerry to win the election because he'll be softer on them and
thus another big attack on the U.S. would happen. What a big--you guessed
it!--lying sack of horseshit.
