Meerkat

Safa and I went to the Nashville Zoo today while Ruth worked (boo hoo). The weather was superb--sunny, around 80 degrees. The zoo itself, which is maybe a fifteen-minute drive from our home, is a wonderful place to be an a spring day. It's pleasantly small and walkable, but big enough (and growing) to be interesting. We have a family membership so it's easy to just get up and say let's go. The meerkats are one of the featured exhibits and I got to try out the new camera on them. We also saw a huge anaconda eating a rabbit (very slowing). Safa had more fun eating an ice cream sanwich (very quickly).
