Pond Project (cont.)
Well, I ran out of rock while completing the upper
watercourse of the pond. I'm about two dozen stones short, at least. I need to
get more Mexican beach pebbles and a couple nice flat stones to serve as weirs
for the waterfalls anyway, so it's back to the stone yard tomorrow. I'm still
waiting on some expandable waterfall foam (to seal cracks between rocks in the
waterfall area) and a Ground Fault Interrupter to come in the mail. I also
ordered a pond vacuum and skimmer net to keep things clean. The unexpected
thunderstorms we had on Sunday caught me off guard--I didn't have my temporary
drainage set up yet so a good deal of silt dumped into the pond. I drained it
yesterday (as you can see) and scrubbed it out this afternoon. I'll refill it
when all the pieces are in place (pump, filter, etc.).
