Pentax K10D at high ISO settings

I visited the De Young Museum in SF and used the K10D with the DA21 lens to snap a few pictures of various sculptures in the African exhibit area. Just love the textures and forms of some of these works. Since light was very poor, I bumped up the K10D to first ISO 800 and then ISO 1600 to capture them without flash.

Both these photos were captured in RAW/DNG mode with very long exposure times. They are cropped and rendered in Adobe Lightroom v4.1 beta, with color balancing, setting of 50 on both noise reduction and smoothing, and cropping, setting of 20 on sharpening. The exposure times were long and I was working hand-held so they both show some camera motion, although I must say that the K10D's image stabilization has proven to be quite handy!

Click on the photos to see them in a larger rendering size. They'll come up in new windows individually so you can look at the EXIF data while still looking at the photos.
