Submitted Materials Available for Review

All of the submitted instructional materials are available to the public for review. A list of Local Resource Display Centers (LRDCs) can be viewed on the CDE website. The materials are scheduled to be on display beginning April 12. Check with the LRDC near you to make sure that the materials have been received and are ready for public viewing.

The note taking guides being used by CRPs and IMAPs contain the criteria for evaluating the alignment of instructional materials with the content found in the Mathematics Standards and Framwork. There are three guides - one each for evaluating Basic, Intervention, and Algebra Readiness materials. As the CRPs and IMAPs review the programs they are assigned, they will be using these guides to take notes and evaluate the programs. During July, the reviewers will be using these notes during the panel deliberations. The guides are very similar. The only difference is grayed out areas that do not pertain to the program.

These guides can be useful for the public to use while they visit the LRDC nearest them to vew the submitted materials.

Thoughts from Royce Page

I wanted to again extend admiration for all of the IMAP panel members and for the level of expertise as well as the endurance quotient that was demonstrated throughout the four day process.  During the publisher's presentations that I attended on Thursday, I also took notice of several astute questions that were ask by panelists.  I encourage all of the panelist not to get bogged down in all of the check lists that accompanied the Five Categories that you are considering, but to save time for some in depth analysis as well.
