  All speakers travelling from outside the region are welcome to stay up to three nights at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Speakers arriving at Logan International Airport or Boston South Station should take a taxi from the airport or train station to the hotel.

Three nights lodging (1-3 May 2008) is secured for each speaker. Speakers who do not need the three nights are asked to contact Gina Reis. Anyone prolonging their visit to the Boston area and wishing to stay additional nights at the Boston Park Plaza may contact Gina to make arrangements. The costs associated with the additional nights will be billed seperately to the guest.

Speakers will receive a confirmation number via email by Wednesday, 23 April 2008.

 

Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. A bus will depart on Friday and Saturday morning at 8:30 AM. Please meet Victor K. Mendes in the hotel lobby to be directed toward the bus.

 


Speakers are invited to lunch on Friday and Saturday, which will be served on campus. Please contact Gina Reis if you would like a vegetarian meal or have any dietary restrictions.

 

On Friday evening, the bus will depart the campus and take guests to the Abbey Grill in Fall River, MA for dinner. Please contact Gina by Friday, 25 April 2008 at Noon (EST) with your entrée selection. The choices are: 1) baked stuffed Boston scrod (fish), 2) chicken with fresh herbs, 3) sirloin steak with mushroom demi or 4) vegetarian entrée.

 

Please send all technical requests to Gina Reis by Monday, 28 April 2008. All MS Powerpoint presentations should be on a flash drive. Any DVD presentations should be compatible with "Zone 1" formatting.

Photocopies of handouts may be made for distribution. Please submit a hard copy of the pages to be copied to Gina Reis upon arriving in Dartmouth on Friday morning. Alternatively (and preferably) send materials via email attachment (MS Word or PDF) to Gina Reis by Thursday, 1 May 2008 at 6 M (EST).
