Linus Corragio was one of the "bad boys" of the Rivington
scene. Linus was instrumental to the creation of the
"Rivington sculpture garden. Linus later went on to
establish his work at an abandoned gas station on Avenue
B and East 2nd street called The Gas Station, or simply
"Space 2 B." Space 2B was a very active place where many
of the Rivington artists and others gathered frequently
to engage in various creative and uncreative activities
during the latter part of the 80s and the early 90s.
Linus was a catalyst for all of this. This video is of
Linus hammering one of his sculptures to a bus stop sign
on Avenue B during the late Red Spot's (Alan Dougherty)
"Gorilla Art Show," a show that featured the works of
street artists of the time. The video is from 1985.
