"Truth" #3. The mainstream media has a liberal bias:

Gads, we’ve heard this one so many times, I had a hard time believing this one isn’t true. That’s right, I said it isn’t true. Believe it or not, group funded by the non-partisan Pew Research Center began the Project for Excellence In Journalism. This particular page shows a study they conducted during the 2000 election that clearly shows that George W. Bush received far more positive press than Al Gore did. Hmmm, think THAT effected the election at all?

Other studies have shown that while most news reporters have liberal leanings on social issues, they align fiscally with conservative views. (Odd, since I already pointed out conservatives are not as good on this as they make out.) They likely feel this way because top news reporters both tend to be city dwellers (making them more socially tolerant) and rich (making them more greedy.) As for the OWNERSHIP of the media, which has just as much if not more influence as the reporters on the stories you see, most of the mainstream media is owned by Republicans (there’s that rich thing again.)

The worst example of a media empire owned by a rich conglomerate is Rupert Murdock and his Fox News Station. Of all the cable news stations, Fox is regarded by its industry as blatently biased to the right. Don't believe me? Consider the conclusion of a study called "The Cable News Wars," performed by ADT Research described Fox News as follows:
" Fox News Channel has brought a bombastic, opinionated and breezy style to each of its primetime programming formats. At each turn - Brit Hume's panel of in-house analysts, Shepard Smith's disdain for politically correct speak, Bill O'Reilly's opinionated abandonment of the codes of journalistic objectivity, Sean Hannity's aggressiveness compared with his partner - this distinctive style exaggerated a right-of-center tilt compared with CNN."

If you currently watch Fox News, please switch the channel immediately to MSNBC or CNN.
