This Week In the News:

A compenduium of this weeks headlines:

So far two elderly patients have DIED WHILE WAITING IN LINE for the flu shot vaccine.

The GOP voter drive is accused of tossing Democratic registrations.

Bush signed ANOTHER corporate tax cut bill for $140 Billion dollars.

A CNN Poll found that 83% of Bush supporters still believe that WMD's were in Iraq before we invaded, compared to 8% of Kerry supporters.

A Reader's Digest Poll found this difference in what Conservatives look for in a president compared to Liberals:

% Difference between “Conservatives & Liberals”

Liberals
Activist who promises real change +25
Genuinely intellectual +14
Decides by consensus +12
Charismatic speaker +12
Travels the world extensively +12

Conservatives
Hold consistent views +27
Unfailingly loyal to staff +18
Admire +13
“Guy next door” +13
Served in military +12
Delegator +11
Rely on inner circle of advisors +10

My two cents? The conservative qualities seem like great things to have IN A FRIEND. I don't need them in a president.

Spokesperson Angus King, speaking for former Governor Jesse Ventura in a bizarre press conference, announced Ventura's support for John Kerry for President. Althought Ventura voted for Bush in 2000 he was not supporting his reelection, stating "The truth is, I wanted him to succeed, I'm here today because he hasn't succeeded on any level."

Oh yeah, and Bill O'Reilly got sued for sexual discrimination and 2 people ran onstage while Ann Coulter was speaking and threw meringue pies at her . . . sadly they missed.

So that wraps up some of the things I found interesting THIS WEEK IN THE NEWS. I'll leave you with this:

"JOHN KERRY PLANS TO RAISE TAXES ON OUR TROOPS IN ORDER TO SUBSIDIZE FREE, GAY HEALTH CARE FOR TRIAL LAWYERS AND TERRORISTS.... THEN ABRUPTLY SWITCH TO THE OPPOSITE COURSE." -Jon Stewart in an interview with Amazon.com in response to the question "What would a Kerry administration mean?"
