Say Cheese!

Basically I agree with most everything John Kerry is saying; I think his plan to fight terrorists globally with the same strategies as organized crime while making sure that our homeland really is protected, makes a lot more sense than bombing one country, and is the only way to actually win against terrorism. His health care plan, is perhaps the most realistic attempt to get health care coverage to everyone. His plans to fund college and give immigrants who are "good citizens" actual citizenship are very realistic, and much needed. So I am not just "anyone but Bush," I really do think the guy will make a good president. Even the Denver Post, who endorsed Bush (in the weirdest endorsement ever) agrees with me on that point.

So, I really only have one issue with Kerry . . . he's cheesy. I'm sorry but he's just kind of dorky . . . the jumpsuit photos, the windsurfing, the geese hunting, the saluting . . . I actually heard him say "yes sir!" to emphasis a point he was making in a recent speech.

You know what else though? The cheesiness does not bother me anymore. It used to a little, but now it actually seems kind of endearing. Bush's personality traits are more about maliciousness: the shoulder shrug laugh, the cowboy posture, the "smirk". Kerry's traits usually make me smile and cringe at the same time. Bush is quite simply the class bully, Kerry is the class nerd . . . a lot of men tend to look up to the bully or at least not get on his bad side, but ask yourself which one would make a better class president? For totally diffent take on this concept, check out this video.

Personally, I'd rather have a president that wears a wetsuit from time to time, than one who cleans his eyeglasses on somebody else's shirt or flips people off. Ahh, such a man of God.
