INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT ORGANISATION:
SOON A REALITY
The object of the Gaia Themis is to promote
the creation of international environmental
organisation (IEO) and to encourage the development of
ideas and actions that would help environmental
protection and the sustainable development for all the
people living on the earth.
It is also in order to warm the economic actors to
sustain development and environmental ethics in all
areas.
All the founders of Gaia Themis have a passion for
the protection of the environment.
Mr Laurent Gimalac is a lawyer specialized in
environment law who teaches this topic at Nice
Sophia-Antipolis University.
Mr Michel Popoff is the director of the Master in
Planet Management at Nice Sophia Popoff University
and he is also lawyer in Lyon and he has a passion for
mountains.
Mr Denis Crabiére is a mountain guide who is working
with the team.
The IEO will play an important role in favouring the
publication of the environment, promoting the
coordination of the creation of international
conventions, recommending, advising and case of
urgency environmental.
For Mr Laurent Gimalac, IEO could be at the end a
chamber of arbitration in order to resolve the
conflicts, this system already proves its efficacy on
the trade area.
The first action of the Gaia Themis will be made
during the next summer: the founders decide to warm
the public by the idea of creation of IEO on the top
of one the worlds roof, located in the heart of the
Central of Asia and summit at 7546 meters high, the
Mustach Ata is also called the Father of ice mountains
by the Ouìgous.
It is one of the last sanctuaries in this modern
time; it is classed as an exceptional historical site
which can correspondent to definition made by the
UNESCO in the International Convention on the Cultural
and Natural heritage established in 23 November 1973.
A report will be realised during the ascent in order
to conserve a souvenir from this great adventure and
to sensible numerous persons to the environmental
ethic.
Other projects are already studied, for instance the
creation of Environmental Ethic Comity at the end of
2003, the organisation of a conference on the Perfume
Factories and the protection of the environment in
2004, and in medium term, the organisation of a new
expedition on the heart on the South Pole in order to
realise some activities as the removal on the ice cap.
All these actions are concretised by the redaction of
press articles and books on several angles as
scientific, economic, sociological or juridical points
of view.
In order to promote the protection of us environment
and of the sustainable development for all the people
living on this earth.
