I had never seen so many people gathered in the back yard of Uncle Christopher and Aunt Phyllis. Their house in the hills of rural Wisconsin overlooks such a sparsely developed landscape, you feel like there couldn't be more than 100 people on the entire planet. So it seems the whole world came to this wedding.
It was beautiful. The landscaping recalled the sense of harmony between man and nature that has always been there but was augmented for this event. To the West below us was countryside as far as the eye could see. Over a hundred beautiful people- some very familiar and dear to me, some complete strangers- gathered to celebrate the marriage of my cousin Kate Dyer to Brad Farwell, performed by Kate's brother Sam. Everyone was moved. These are the photos I took.
