This offering tasted a lot better than it looked. It was warm and freshly baked, with a soft, moist center and a crust that was not too hard (Baguettes have a tendency to be baked with extra hard crusts- Yuk). The flavor was acceptable; as good as a French baguette can get. I loved how I could see the steam escape from the center when I broke the bread into two halves. Heavenly.
