NEW WORKS FOR RHS SHOW HAMPTON COURT 2004
Gill is delighted to be working with designer Hazel Murray in the creation of works for the Vineyard Vision Garden. Hazel instantly recognised the potential for Gills work within her design and Gill has created glass specifically in colours & forms that subtly echo the magical aspect of a fantasy vineyard setting. Featuring specially designed vine supports in stainless steel and handblown crystal glass together with a unique table and spectacular steel & glass set gazebo, the garden setting shows Gills artistry in a new way, complimenting practical pieces as well as purely art forms.
Vinyard Visions is the third show garden that Gill has worked on in recent years and was awarded Silver Gilt in this years judging. Consultation and the preparation of designs & samples of coloured glass began in 2003. Such is the nature of Gills work that a commitment to any project like Chelsea or Hampton Court is long term; the collection represents many months of dedicated hard work & planning to create the effortless grace of the final pieces.
