. New Kites video now showing, new 2CD Lightdark released in UK and Europe!

A brand new video for Kites, filmed and edited by Giancarlo Erra, is now streaming at the Nosound mini-site. The mini-site has also been updated to include a new downloadable desktop created by Giancarlo Erra too. The site also still contains a downloadable 15 minute sample of the album, featuring The Misplay (Instrumental Coda) & From Silence To Noise recorded live, as well as the usual desktop and mobile phone downloads, and other audio samples.

The new 2CD edition of Lightdark is released physically on Kscope in the UK on September 22nd but is already available from all major retail and download stores over all Europe! Regarded by critics and fans alike as one of the most interesting up and coming alt/art rock bands in Europe, Lightdark sees the Nosound identity evolve into something even more focused and powerful. Lightdark inventively combines influences from '70s psychedelia, '80s/'90s ambient and contemporary alt/progressive rock.
Recorded in Italy, England and the US throughout 2006 and 2007, the album develops further the promise of debut album Sol29 and exhibits a stronger group identity which reveals a greater contrast between atmospheric detail and the walls of sound created by the band on stage. Highlights include the 15 minute epic From Silence to Noise, the ethereal The Misplay (with cellist Marianne DeChastelaine), and the epic piano/mellotron driven ballad Someone Starts To Fade Away (which features No-Man's Tim Bowness on vocals).

This 2 disc edition of the album includes an exclusive five track bonus disc including the video for Lightdark.

..Lightdark is now out of stock..and this is not a bad news at all..we promised good and great things soon...stay tuned..

. CASCAIS Portugal Prog Festival CANCELED

For reasons not dependent on the band or management intentions, the Cascais Prog Festival (Portugal, 5-6-7 September) is now canceled, and so it's the Nosound performance and presence at the event. New live dates for autumn will be announced soon.

. Many more good news, and it’s just the start..again!

As probably some of you already knows, when I'm mute isn't because I'm on the new Nosound boat bought with some album sales, nor because I started again doing asome other normal life I have behind music making! As you should already know, and I always say....we are working hard.....even harder than ever....and I'm sure you'll be probably surprised by some forthcoming very big news I still can't announce....things are going, growing, developing..I'm sure you'll be 'shocked' as I was the first time I heard it.

Passing on something more tangible and immediate, I'd like to announce that all our back catalogue is available as digital download on main stores around the globe (iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic, Amazon) as well as it's on our Burning Shed shop, where you can always find in exclusive the high quality versions with printable graphics, getting a better product and helping more the band!

I'm just back from 4 days with the great Tim Bowness for some more studio work on our forthcoming project/album, still unnamed but undoubtely already good enough to let us with a feeling that something strong and different-but-linked to our own respective projects will come out! We added three new potentially tracks to the roaster, I'll be at work on all the material and we'll start soon the selection for the album. Beautifully shaped and varied songs joining our respective sensibilities and experiences, plus a host of great guests will do another exciting release hopefully for the year...more news to come soon about this!

Lightdark was released since about three months, and we have to really say THANK YOU. We received a totally unexpected feedback in terms of contacts, reviews, and album sales. The hype on Nosound is growing day by day, your support was so important and I really hope it will be always more and more.....it's always because of you that we are currently about to announce some very BIG step forward for Nosound...you'll be even more important, so just keep on! You're working like the sixth element of the band..and I'll always be there with you sharing good or bad feelings like we did with the rest of the band. We had with Lightdark and thanks also to Burning Shed label and Tim Bowness vocal guest a big step forward with Nosound, and we are about to start again soon from a potentially even more important event...a bit more of work and everything will be clear to you too :)

Another great news is that we'll play live at the Cascais festival in Portugal, on Sunday 7th September. It will not be easy for all, but check website it will be a really big event with a lot of hot names we'll have the honour to play with:

http://www.cascaisprog.com/mainUK.htm

If you think you'll join let us know and please leave comments or your presence on our myspace and last.fm pages (just check signature at the end of this email for links!).

But good news never come alone (as the bad ones!), so in the meantime of all this I had a great time in studio in the last two months working on some good and fresh new material for Nosound third studio album! Hopefully next year some more Nosound will be brought to you...I'll still not reveal details about what or why...but, if you thought Lightdark was a great result after three years of work and waiting, you'll be surprised how far from reality it is....it seems it will be 'just' the best ever possible starting point for greater things..we are a lucky band, having a strong fan support like you and really great people like Tim Bowness, all at Burning Shed, Rob Palmen and others who helped making a dream already true something even better.

And, last but not least, the fellow guys from Nosound Street Team made a miracle bringing to new life the Nosound forum!! Check it at :

http://nosound.proboards19.com/

As you already probably know, a forum is one of the most important and vital resources of any website....so please join, discuss, invite others, and help spreading the world! There are 330 in the official mailing list, let's hope to find everyone of you there too. There will be as always a benefit from joining the forum....an high quality track from our cd 'Slow it goes' will be available to all forum subscribers. Give life to it and join!

Quite long one this time...I think that's all ...for now..speak soon in the next few weeks for some really 'major' news..

. No-Man new album 'Schoolyard Ghosts' and collaboration, new recording sessions and more!

After 5 long years the new No-Man album 'Schoolyard Ghosts' will be soon out! Due to released on 12th May 2008 (on Kscope), it's already available for preordering from BurningShed. Featuring a host of excellent collaborations and contributions, it's great to announce it will contain also a song composed by Giancarlo Erra with Tim Bowness for their own project, and then passed under Steven Wilson studio work for a new arrangement and production for the new No-Man album! 'Beautiful Songs You Should Know' is the song, and will be also on second bonus disc in another alternative arrangement.
Written and recorded between Autumn 2007 and Spring 2008, Schoolyard Ghosts is No-Man's sixth official studio album and its first since 2003's together we're stranger. A distinctive combination of beautifully detailed songwriting, haunting melodies and inventively cinematic production, schoolyard ghosts sees No-Man’s core duo of Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson expanding the band's sonic palette by collaborating with, amongst others, Californian pedal steel ace Bruce Kaphan, saxophonist/flautist Theo Travis, drummers Pat Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison, and the London Session Orchestra (arranged by Dave Stewart).
The Schoolyard Ghosts cd/dvda comes in a lavish digi-pack with booklet and also features a 5.1 mix of the album, a photo gallery and videos for 3 songs. Schoolyard Ghosts is now available to pre-order from Burning Shed's No-Man Store. The No-Man Store edition comes with an exclusive 6 track, 20 minute, bonus disc of alternates and edits. You can visit official microsite for latest news, promotional material, and full video and audio previews!

More music news coming this period....Giancarlo Erra and Tim Bowness will meet again in early May in Sweden (at Stephen Bennett own studio) to finish some work on their new forthcoming project/album, due hopefully to release somewhere toward the end of the year! After a few intensive sessions during 2007 it's now time to finish some refinements, doing overdubs and listening to the material and making selections for the final album, plus possibly some new writing and recording sessions! Expect some more news about it soon...

Last but not least, Lightdark and Sol29 remastered are still going really well...we are about to print again the new album after just two months...an incredibly expanding fanbase and buzz on internet, among with lot of radio air/web play, fans support all over the web and rave reviews are getting more and more people on our websites to listen to some of the music freely available. The albums were also recently listed on Waves website (famous high-end pro audio software developer) for their production and recording quality...something really appreciated, being sound and production an important part of Nosound musical style!
The band with his manager Rob Palmen is working seriously about live dates across Europe..we already have a few festivals booked for the summer period, but we are waiting for some other confirmation to announce all the verified dates..stay tuned and be ready to book a flight if you're not too far..we are looking forward to meet soon all of you!

...and by the way don't forget about the exclusive EP CLOUDS

It contains three unreleased tracks, out takes from Lightdark sessions and not available on the album! It's one of the more eclectic Nosound releases, concentrating half an hour of music in the form of a dreamy song (Cold Afterall), an improvised edgy psychedelic track (Like the elephant?) and the long lush ending ambient title track 'Clouds'. Available just now from our Digital Download Shop, it's a great companion to the new album. There's at the moment no plan for a physical cd release, but it will depend on the requests..so let us know what you think about it. Again an exclusive 4 minutes long preview medley is available to all our mailing list subscribers!

Well..you waited several months, and supported us becoming one of the best fanbase we could ever dream about, we promised you big things for 2008..we're starting, thanks to anyone who'll support us preordering the album(s)..and expect soon even more..as already said, this is just the start..

. Happy New Year...and vote for Nosound at NME BREAKING BANDS!

Waiting for major events related to new album release, if you can please take a bit of your time to subscribe to NME (free) and vote for us at NME BREAKING BANDS

http://www.nme.com/newmusic/nosound

If almost all of you can vote for us we could collect enough to take some more attention at last from some major magazine, meaning a lot in this period to launch Lightdark!

In the last few days we had some private listening session for the last remastered (and with bonus tracks..) Sol29 and comments were really encouraging. Being compiled with the missing tracks appeared on DVD (slightly remixed) and all the others remastered, it's probably the best possible Sol29 release. I hope this will be a pleasure to listen again to the album in a new version and a great and better discover for newcomers.

. New year is arriving..Lightdark preorder available from January!

We were mute in the last two weeks, but we're not giving up...just waiting to pass over the holidays period to post official announce and start preorders!

. Nosound - Clouds (ep) , first new release is out!

It's finally out our FIRST NEW RELEASE after two years! Just go to our newly renovated BurningShed Nosound Shop, already packed with new stuff:

http://www.burningshed.com/store/nosound/

and you'll find it as a digital download with printable graphics, both in mp3 and high lossless quality. One of Nosound's more eclectic releases, 'Clouds' is a 3 track EP of exclusive, new, material recorded during the sessions for the band's forthcoming album 'Lightdark'.

Coming two years after debut release, 'Sol29', the EP can be considered as a bridge between their atmospheric first album and the more diverse and dynamic, 'Lightdark'. For all Nosound newsletter subscribers there's an exclusive 4 minutes audio preview. This is the tracklist:

1. cold afterall (6:18)
2. like the elephant? (5:40)
3. clouds (10:34)

'Cold Afterall': One of the first songs prepared for the new album, the song is an excellent example of the new 'band' sound that Nosound has developed since 'Sol29'.
'Like The elephant?': An improvised song featuring distorted guitars and psychedelic rock experiments. Featuring the typically melodic and down tempo Nosound sound in a harder 'rock' context.
'Clouds': A 10 minute ambient and electronic instrumental, originally intended as the coda to 'Lightdark', the title track of the new Nosound album.

We hope 'Clouds' will be a first release to present Nosound after two years of intensive work and changes, before the final album Lightdark that will bring the overall new picture. Thanks in advance for your support, if the selling numbers of this digital download will go better than ever it will be a big sign and help for us and the new album release.

Waiting for your comments on our Nosound mailing list and Myspace, and don't forget to check the exclusive forthcoming new album Lightdark 6+ minutes long medley containing long excerpts from every track!

. L I G H T D A R K, the new album, FIRST AUDIO PREVIEWS!

Click to hear LIGHTDARK medley on our Myspace profile..

After two years since the last (debut) studio album 'Sol29' Nosound come back with their second release, 'Lightdark'. The debut album sold more than 2000 copies worldwide, followed by a DVD and a cd live, with critics and public praising the band among the most interesting alternative/art rock names in Europe. Like the fanbase growing every day, Nosound grew in those two years as a band identity and developing more their own music and sound.

The second album 'Lightdark' pushes more in the direction taken with Sol29, mixing influences from '70s psychedelia to '80s ambient and '90s modern alt/progressive rock. Recorded between Rome, Norwich (UK) and New York, the album features top collaborations by singer/songwriter Tim Bowness and cellist Marianne DeChastelaine. Following the sound identity started with Sol29 the album underlines the characteristic contrast between suspended moments and walls of sound of the band on stage, featuring unique and detailed sound pushing production to a completely new level.

Much anticipated and waited 'Lightdark' release details will follow in the next few days. With this more than 6 minutes long medley we hope to give you an idea about the new album music and band evolution, waiting for a bunch of new music to be released in the next 3 months.

Please leave your comment on our Myspace page and help us spreading the word feeling free adding the medley to your profile. We promised you a new start and a bunch of new music and bright future for Nosound, this is a start for what will come soon..

. 11 October 2007, Stazione Birra, Rome ...the gallery!

Again playing at Stazione Birra was a great experience and memorable gig. We had probably more important gigs but this one was one of the most enjoyable, both for us and the audience. We already played the new songs in January to have a first feedback from the public, and after several months of (re)working in studio and rehearsing, we ended up with something more moving and more focused yet comfortable and with a sort of 'well known' feeling. This second gig of new songs still unknown to the audience was fantastic, people seemed to receive immediatly the new material, and we enjoyed like never before playing it. The attention and respect by the audience was amazing, with strong support and perfect silence in the quieter moments, allowing us to expand on stage even more our typical dynamic excursions from whisper to walls of sound and atmospheres.

This time we choose to play only new material, fro the forthcoming EP 'Clouds' and the album 'Lightdark', both to be released within the end of the year. For the final encore we dedicated a tribute to one of our most important influences, quite amazing 25 minutes and incredibly 'moving' experience for us and the audience. This was the setlist:

1) about butterflies and children
2) places remained
3) the misplay
4) from silence to noise
5) someone starts to fade away
6) kites
7) lightdark

8) cold afterall
9) like the elephant

10) echoes (pink floyd)

We are currently working with our manager (Rob Palmen) to organize a short tour for the first half of new year to promote the new album. By the way, as already anticipated, we finally found the 'right' label for the album, due to release within the end of the year! You can expect in the forthcoming weeks a lot of news about this, the medley and a single on our myspace, a digital download EP, an exclusive preorder system... your wait will have anyway a lot of new music!

Being now even more important than ever, please visit our MySpace page, drop a comment and help us spreading the word. Your support was always our most important resource, and contacts grows everyday..but we know you can do even more! And hopefully next year we'll play somewhere near all of you, our biggest 'thank you' for being the most important part of Nosound.

.NOSOUND LIVE AT STAZIONE BIRRA, 11 OCT 2007, ROME

Since the start of this year we worked a bit on the tracks, so this time the performance will include again the integral execution of Lightdark album, plus some the outtakes present in the single release available soon on Burning Shed (soon details), plus some other surprise for the live event. . LIGHTDARK - Cold Afterall single out in september !

Perhaps we were silent during last few months but as always work is flowing under the hood! A lot of news for all our fans, even if now you are all swimming somewhere and enjoying some holiday we hope! After initial announcement in Jannuary 6 months passed, but now we're ready for the first official announcement we were all waiting: the release of Lightdark single! Scheduled for the end of September is the online lossless audio download single release, complete with exclusive printable graphics. This online release will include Cold Afterall (that will not be included in the official album) plus some other material from the Lightdark recording sessions.
In fact the recording sessions were extended due to the album release delay, and we collected enough material for nearly a double studio album! We deciced anyway to keep untouched the material already recorded and mastered for the release, and to come back to the new material later the next year after Lightdark release....yes, we have the album official scheduled release date within the year! During September we'll try giving a more precise date, and in the following two months we are considering the possibility to start a massive preorder campaign, with discounts and exclusive items to thank all people preordering and supporting so the band (more news to come).

Starting from the end of September, the single online release will be also the occasion to launch our renovated shop, with new release items added and a central place to buy all our material. We'll have our new official shop at BurningShed, that many of you maybe already know. This will a be a central point to buy our releases, plus a new and enhanced download shop with many new items available. So you'll have a new official shop with new exclusive items, added to all our actual mail and online distributions around the world.

Following all this we'll start soon organizing some live date to promote the album, working in parallel to the new material in the new studio we are preparing with Gigi. In the meantime some interesting things are happening, with a soundtrack that should be soon available online (links and info will follow), and the collaboration on the album/project with Tim Bowness going on. We are with Tim in the process of refining mixes, and some great new collaboration is coming that we are sure will interest a lot of you.

The ball keeps rolling...have a great August, a second half of year full of great things is coming.,

.Nosound - Lightdark news!

As already posted on the website, this period was hard between working on small enhanchements for the new album and all things about his release and also the most recent live cd-r (now finishing..no more than two or three orders left!). While going around away from studio for several reasons, anyway all time passed working on mixes and adding/modifying small things here and there. Not always in the most comfortable situations (as you can see), but it's also great sometimes to work outside the usual place just to have some fresh view and then check again results in studio.

Anyway, all the work is now finished! We have the new master, we are starting again with our new shining manager looking for great realities interested in our forthcoming album, there are already some great neames involved and we are all excited about this.
If you want to help let us know you want the new album, post some comment on our Myspace page, generate some buzz on other websites and forums, hopefully now we'll see soon the Lightdark..

In the meantime parallel works are also going well..working on some new music I still don't know what will be, the contribution on the new Stefano Panunzi album, and the much awaited album and project with Tim Bowness..

By the way, for all coming for the exclusive 'Nosound - Slow, it goes' cdr live ..it's now sold out! We are sorry if anyone missed this, but would like to thank all people buying this release making it soon a sold out item. There was a huge request and support for this release, and we are looking for doing something similar in the near future..stay tuned!

.Nosound - Slow, it goes (cdr live) release and preorders! *UPDATED AGAIN*

In the last few weeks we received a lot of request to have on cd, in higher quality, the live contents recently uploaded on this website. The recent gig at Stazione Birra received an amazing response, so after request there's now our first cd-r live available to buy online from our website!

.NOSOUND new life/website/contents and Lightdark album release delay

As announced several times in the last newsletters and news, a lot of positive things happened in the last year, now with this new website the work is at a new starting point. This news will be quite long but full of great things, a 'welcome back' to our existing unvaluable fans and a great 'Hello!' to newcomers!

Thinking now at how things started two years ago it's just incredible and funny at the same time..Sol29 was published just to 'try', being alone and doing everything myself in studio. Months passed since March 2005 and the 'try' started selling well, I started playing with some friends and a band was born, rehearsing old and new material and so starting being a real band. All things passed lightfast..lots of positive reviews, contacts, more concerts, a real management, new material and album being recorded during 2006, the start of collaboration with Tim Bowness...and our always growing fanbase, all the accesses to website and Myspace pages, the 200+ people on the mailing list and the continuous contacts and support from fans..
The second half of 2006 we announced the new album
LIGHTDARK ready to be released soon, and the year ended with some tracks presented live in Italy and UK also with Tim Bowness on stage, a recent gig with all the new album played live and the promise for a February 2007 release date..
Those who read news by our mailing list/newsletter, received a few messages speaking of a lot of work and unexpected good news, leading to some delay for the album release.
The album was sent around to a few important artists and promoters, receiving incredibly good feedback. We already knew it was an important step forward from Sol29 for Nosound as a music reality and a band, so we had to take an important decision: to go again with an autoproduction or to try a different way. In the meanwhile we contacted a new and bigger management/booking agency (Rob Palmen at RPMP) to help us in the process of looking for a proper way to release the next album, and the subsequent live promotion...and we arrived at today!

It was an hard decision to take, but we decided to delay the album release because we want to make it the best possible album for us and for our audience, granting a better distribution, promotion, radio airplay, and a proper live promotion in Europe. For a band is not easy to delay an album already done, but we thought it was the best decision. We're actually working in this direction, trying also to organize other live dates before the album release, and also adding something to the music itself to make it really the best ever possible Nosound album (obviously only until a next better one will be out in 2008..!).
We already got some feedback from labels, and as you can see on this new website we'll work also to put some new material during those 'waiting months', both unedited and new material to promote the new album.
Someone will understand our decision, some other will be disappointed, but we know that wehn you'll hear the album you'll be surprised too. There's now a real band giving life to the music, there are important collaborations of Tim Bowness on vocals and Marianne
DeChastelaine on cello. The album was recorded between Rome, Norwich (UK) and New York, and features new improved stunning production and graphics..so please be with us and great news should hopefully come soon!

And now we can go ahead with something more practical..welcome to our new website! Even if the new album still have to come, we decided to renovate design to resemble what will be graphics for Lightdark, adding also LOTS OF NEW MATERIAL online ! Apart from restyling, the same structure of previous website was mantained being simple and effective for navigation. Little changes were made to pages structures, to have all material better organized.
We have now our MYSPACE page as a direct contact point for fans and an important way of promotion, a YOUTUBE page hosting all our old and new video material, a FLICKR page with all our galleries organized for easy navigation, and finally a new centralized easy way to play all audio material thanks to our LAST.FM page! All this material is organized in this way to be more accessile and easy to play from our renovated MUSIC & media page .. where you can find just now new material!
There's the great photogallery from our recent Lightdark live, THREE LIVE TRACKS from the same live (in streaming or freely downloadable for mailing list subscribers), a more than 1 hour streaming containing all Nosound music available on our websites, plus a complete video live from our dvd-r live filmed during 2005 and obviously the promotional video for Lightdark.. check for these in the new music & media page!

If you can please help us leaving comments on the various communities (Myspace, Last.fm etc..) and spreading the word and links about Nosound music to your real and virtual friends. Word of mouth (or internet) from you is our most important way of promotion..we hope to have you with us during this months waiting for the new Nosound - Lightdark album.. see you soon for some previews!..

.Nosound live reports..

About a week passed since our 'Lightdark' gig, we are just preparing all the material to put online!

The gig was fantastic, as the audience attending the event. We performed the first set playing the new album in his full lenght and tracklist, and we got really the right attention, while the second set was more 'rock' with some of the tracks from Sol29.
At the end of the gig we got positive comments, and feedback about the new material was amazing..we hope to bring soon this type of live outside Italy to promote the new album.

Soon online a photogallery, review and interview of the gig on the italian DNAmusic webzine and on this website..stay tuned..

.Happy New Year!

After almost a month of silence, we just want to wish all our fans an Happy New Year! Even if silent on website,
we're working hard behind the scenes.
Unexpected positive news are coming during this month, and next week
we'll be able probably to start with some of these news. Expect something very special within a few days as a gift
for a great start for the new year.
We would also like to thank personally all of you for your unvaluable support. After two years since Sol29 release
we are coming back with a new album, Nosound is becoming a more mature project, a real band, a known name.
We received lots of good reviews and sold an unexpected high number of copies, and all this would be impossible
without your support. New great things will come soon...finally again HAPPY NEW YEAR!

.www.lightdark.net, official promo website and first audio / video previews!

After an year and half from our debut Sol29 album, the first notes from the forthcoming new Nosound album, Lightdark, start coming off from our studio to your ears.
We have now an official promotional website, http://www.lightdark.net, where you'll find more and more material until official album release (February 2007).

Just visit it now (broadband internet connection and Flash 8 required) and you'll able to view a special and dedicated video promo introducing the album. If you'll like the video you'll be able to download an mpeg4 quality version, ready also for your iPod Video if you have one. In the next few months you'll find also a medley of the various tracks, and finally the complete single Places Remained, just a month before the album release!

The promo website is intended to spread the word and make people curious about our music, helping with the next album. Without any label or compromise in music we sold more than 2000 copies of the Sol29 debut album alone, receiving everywhere positive comments and reviews. We have now a relatively small but trusted and strong fanbase, and we are asking you to help us spreading the word, posting a comment/link about www.lightdark.net website among forums, mailing lists, blogs and whenever people speak about the music you like. Don't be intrusive and follow moderators rules, be fair and people will like your suggestion. Any comment and suggestion are welcomed, both on our guestbook or MySpace. Soon more news about the new album and all the great things that will likely happen in the next few months. The race is just starting now..

.Lightdark, the new album

We have it! Even if still working hard for final release date and details, the new album is almost ready, and it's
by far the best thing we ever could think to! It will feature Tim Bowness collaboration (plus others), and after
debut Sol29 is probably the first 'band' album for Nosound. It will contain the usual and appreciated Nosound
style and music, in what we think is a big step forward in our music composition and form.
From the long and luscious
16 minutes long From Silence To Noise to the electronic ambient of About Butterflies
and Children
, from the classic Nosoundish Cold Afterall to the powerful and memorable Places Remained,
Lightdark will be the name of our second album and will contain these and other songs for more than 50 minutes
of new music. A lot of material as usual was left outside to find a more proper place in some online or secondary
release in the near future. We are all really excited about the music, and we hope you'll be too. Audio previews will
come soon.

.Tim Bowness collaboration continues

Working on the ongoing collaboration between Giancarlo Erra/Nosound and Tim Bowness continued in mid October in UK, Norwich. Three days of sessions produced more recordings for existing tracks and a new one, Warm Winter.
Being again very emotional and moving, this new track will be added to what probably become a new parallel project/album. Actual selection of tracks includes a wide range of moods and music, being at the same time very unique. Soon more details..

.Nosound/Tim Bowness recordings ... and new album coming..

Work between Giancarlo Erra (Nosound) and Tim Bowness (No-Man)
continues. After recording sessions with Nosound in Rome in April and in
NY in August, new sessions in October in Norwich are planned at the moment.

About the new tracks, Beautiful Songs You Should Know has been
described by Tim as being one of the strongest and most melodically rich pieces
he's recorded outside of his work with Steven Wilson and No-Man, while At The
Center Of It All
is an ambitious 10 minute semi-orchestral piece, both
featuring Marianne DeChastelaine (ex Heather Nova/ex Samuel Smiles) on
cello, that will join probably again with Nosound music.
Working on mixes for the new songs is going forward, and having now a lot of
songs together probably there will be also something else with all this material..
Working on Nosound other tracks for new album is nearly ended, we're now
looking at some practical aspects and times for the release and details will be out
soon. What's sure is that a lot of material is going to be released in the next few
months, and in parallel working on new material is already on the way.
As soon as we'll have more details about the release we'll be able to start telling
about some promotional live dates we're planning too.

.Nosound new tracks in New York

After two weeks spent in New York a lot of good news and music is coming. Spending some days with Tim and his friends was enjoyable and allows an authentic NY living instead of the boring tourist usual visits. A friendly feeling accompained these days and all the composing and recording sessions with Tim, making them possibly even better.

We made some final takes and arrangement/mixing on the new track already composed in Rome, and two lenghtly new tracks were written and recorded. In our opinion are to be candidated as the best done together until now. I'll do some mixing and final adjustement on this tracks
during the next week. It seems there will be even more material for the next album, that configures himself again to be a great step forward.

During recording sessions we were joined also by Marianne DeChastelaine at the cello, old time friend of Tim (yet present on Samuel Smiles project), genuine person and beautifully talented cellist living in New York. Results were surprising, and I hope Marianne will collaborate with Nosound even more with her distinctive sound and melodic feeling, perfectly in tune with mood of our songs.

Last but not least our friend Jeffrey helped a lot making our sessions enjoyable, perfect and without problems at all.. thanks man! At the end, perfect and deeply emotional days as the new songs we recorded.

.Nosound & Tim Bowness, live and news

...and it was great! Tim will return soon to England, and we'll post soon on this website details and pictures of these four days with Tim. We played at Locanda Atlantide in Rome and at Auditorium of Foligno before Tony Levin Band, it was incredibly good in both occasions and we had a really warm and positive feedback from the audience. We had also two days at Synchronia Studio rehearsing and playing together, recording some material and a new song from our ongoing collaboration, that
we are all sure will continue and expand in several ways.. With Tim and the band we felt an almost immediate friendship (funny and serious when needed) and a genuine common feeling about the music,
something we didn't expect in that easy way, and we were all pleased and surprised by this.
At the moment the good news is that this will be probably just the start.
You can check the images on the left to view the photogalleries of recent gigs with Tim.
In the meantime we have finally a Nosound on MySpace page ..with just some preview pics, and more exclusive content in the near future.
