• Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Heuer earned her Bachelor of Piano Performance at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and her Masters in Chamber Music and Accompaniment at Eastern Michigan University.
• In 1971 she toured Germany, Scandinavia, and Russia as piano soloist with the Youth for Understanding Wind Ensemble. For three years she and her husband Greg trained young actor-singers in Reno, Nevada, with the Junior Light Opera company. When business took the Heuers to the Chicago area, Mrs. Heuer taught and accompanied there for 12 years before coming to Virginia.
• From 1988-1999 she lived in Chantilly, Virginia, where she taught piano at her studio, and accompanied instrumental and vocal performers at George Mason University.
