Ken Willinger - Guitarist

Music

I'm a jazz guitarist that leans toward the Bebop end of the spectrum. My influences are Big Band and small combos of the 40s, 50's and 60's. I also love the modern sound that guitarists are making today.
Main guitar influences are Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow and Pat Martino. New guitarists I enjoy are Kurt Rosenwinkel and Peter Bernstein.

My other source of musical entertainment (when not out seeing live music) is to visit the Rec. Music.Makers.Guitar.Jazz newsgroup on Google. It's a great place to ask questions pertaining to jazz guitar and to learn about music, instruments, new players and just about anything concerning jazz guitar.
