Drag'n'drop
The first movie is open. Check that the playhead is at the end. Now drag the second movie from the Finder and drop it in the document window.

Copy and Paste
With two documents open, you select a segment, copy and paste into the other. The segment has been merged to the second movie. The insertion point is always the playhead.
