Shasta College Hospitality and Culinary Arts
The hospitality industry needs thousands of new employees each year. Along with the rising demand for hospitality services is a growing emphasis on comfort, good service and nutrition, all of which increase the need for skilled professionals to manage  and serve people, and meet the needs of today's consumers.

Education

Is needed to better serve the community of the North State and throughout the world.

According to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), people around the world spent about $2.1 trillion in the year 2003 on their personal travel – which amounts to almost 10% of consumer spending worldwide.

More than 200 million people work in the travel and tourism industry, making it the largest employer on earth. Forecasted growth means that the industry will constantly be in need of talented people who understand the business and have the drive to succeed.
