New Creative Horizons Open

Wonderful new possibilities open for me, thanks to my friend Megan !

Thanks to a software package my friend Megan bought for me recently, I was able to finally set this art/poetry page up so it can be seen on the web.

I did this with Adobe inDesign (page layout software), converted it to a jpg to use in Photoshop so I could adjust the size for the web, then dropped it into my .Mac website.

I am so excited!!!!!

The text is a little tiny in the web version. Could make the image bigger so the words would show up better, but that would mean people (even with 17” screens like mine) would have to scroll the page to read it & so couldn’t get the impact of the whole. And also it would take longer to open, especially with dial-up connections.

The print version is 11x17,” with no red frame — the red is the recommended matting color to be used with a frame. Or I can print with a red frame if desired.

Now all I have to do is figure out the web design software so I can create a site displaying all my work!

So the fact that, apparently (because of zero enrollment), I am not going to be teaching my online class this spring term may be a good thing, because that gives me more time to do my creative work. Of course, if someone wants to help me out by purchasing a print, I would not be averse to that!

There will be more prints of other work available soon. I did this one first because it resonates so profoundly with what is happening in my life right now.
