My, How the Birds Do Sing! (and the wind does blow...)

First real day of spring weather...nearly summer (for Rochester) at 75 degrees and climbing.

Just a quick jot about my daily walk, taken early today because I thought I was supposed to meet a couple of friends down at the Starry Nites Cafe at 11, but then (after calling and leaving a message of concern, then later walking on down to where one of them works; she was nowhere to be found) remembered that the meeting had been changed to 2 p.m.

The birds are out, broadcasting their delight with spring's arrival with mighty songs of cheer. It was hot ... ok lots of people wouldn't think that 75 is hot, but after walking around in 40 degree drizzly weather just two days ago, I find 75 to be positively sweltering!

The weather forecast says winds are gusting up to 30 mph, but I could swear one gust nearly lifted me off my feet!

We've had a few warm days before this, but this time is different, because of all the flowers, and the green buds on the trees. One tv station is saying it will get up to 80 today, and I believe it.

Spring comes to Rochester at last...
