Original Music
George has an understanding of music that is both instinctive and experienced, as well as an amazing ability to reproduce the instrumentation that he "hears" during a collaboration. Those qualities brings out the very best in lyricists, vocalists, and instrumentalists who bring their projects to him.
The process begins with a one-hour consultation, to determine whether the client is fully prepared to embark on their project. When the consultation results in agreement that the project is ready to move forward, additional work will be scheduled. If the artist is not quite prepared to move ahead with the project, George will offer guidance as to what is needed.

Graphic Design
The graphic design office contains all the elements needed to create design packages suitable for professional manufacture of audiocassettes and CD's. Samples of some of the graphic designs may be found on the CDs page. Beginning with the 2001 recording "Love Notes", the designs for all of George Melvin's recordings and CD labels were done in the Studio's graphic art center, as well as designs for a number of client projects.
