Charles and Kathy's wedding in Los Angeles

Talk about every detail counts. This wedding had it all. Great details, Lots of emotion and of course my favorite, Awesome clients. Cause you know me, I am all about having amazing clients. I met Charles at Kathy last year at a wedding I did last year on Treasure Island for Chris and Eileen. I'll post that wedding soon, cause you really have to see that one to believe it. So Ann Hamilton and I are in Los Angeles, where I grew up and it's about 100 degrees. The wedding took place at Skirball Cultural Center and getting ready was at the W in Westwood. Jeannie from Details, Details wedding and event planning put the event together and flowers were done by Square Root Design, invitations and artwork was done by paper girl , hair and make up was done by Jessie Lin .

Click here if you want to some shots from the engagement session in San Francisco and Berkley.

Lots of Bling, Bling everywhere.

Hey here is a shot of my bride Eileen, during getting ready. Her and Chris' wedding was off the hook.

More Bling for Charles.

Always dedicated to getting the perfect shot. The man in action!!!!

What? Madonna.

I get asked allot, What would it be like to to see each other before the wedding? Would the impact be the same? What about tradition. Well, not everyone wait to walk down the aisle before seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day. It actually gave me more time to be creative with not only them, but families and friends. We took care of all the portraits before the guest started to arrive. So to answer questions about seeing each other before the ceremony. Take a look these moments as they happened. In my opinion, the impact was more intense. Charles called it, "The Magic Moment". He was right.

Well, it was time to dance and have some fun.

Just having a little fun with Cathy's veil while doing portraits.

Perfect way to end the evening. Big ending to the last dance to a perfect wedding day!!!!!!!!!

Here is a email that the MOH Carol sent me the day after wedding.

Hi Gene!

Oh my gosh...the wedding was unbelievable!!!  I just wanted to thank you again for really going out on a limb for our family.  You have a magical gift of making everyone feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.  You and Ann were literally shedding blood, sweat, and tears to get some awesome shots at the wedding.  From some of the shots I saw from Ann's camera, I know the pictures are going to turn out amazingly.  I heard from so many family and friends about how "great the photographers" were.

I know you're heading off to Mexico this week.  Have a safe trip!  Have an extra margarita for me!  Just wanted to drop a quick hello and a big THANKS AGAIN for all your hard work.

You have definitely become an honorary member of the family!

Take care,
Carol

So the wedding went online and this is email I got from Kathy:

Dear Gene,

All I can say is "WOW"!!!! My jaw dropped when I saw the pictures and I haven't been able to close my mouth since.

The photographs are absolutely stunning and I am so grateful to you and Ann for capturing my wedding day. As the bride, the day went by so quickly and I didn't even get to see so much of it. Your guys' hard work (and that is an extreme statement considering the 100 degree heat) has preserved all of the little moments of my day that I didn't get to see myself. I cannot thank you enough for giving me those memories back. Ruth (my wedding coordinator) said that she has never seen professional photographers work so hard and would recommend you to anyone. She said you wouldn't even take a water break because you didn't want to miss a shot or a moment!!! All of our guests loved you, too, because you guys have a knack for making people feel comfortable and totally unobtrusive. Its one of those traits as a photographer you can't even guage when you interview them - you only get it when they see you in action. I wish all of your clients could see you in action before their big day!

Your work speaks for itself and I can't wait to show off your stuff to everyone! You totally captured every emotion, tear, half-smile and laugh on our faces. And the artistry of your detail work shocked me because I didn't realize our details actually looked that good on the wedding day.

Thank you so much for helping me see my wedding day for the first time. Like my sister said, you really have become an honorary member of our family.

Love,
Kathy
