NYC

The weather in New York City this week has been great! Ann and I caught up with my clients Shinn and Alexis. They are planning to be married in San Francisco later this year. We started their engagement session in the meat packing district, now known as Gansevoort Market, which is New York’s most fashionable neighborhood, full of hip restaurants, exclusive clubs, and pricey boutiques. Afterwards, we headed over to Central Park to complete our session.

Be sure to check back soon for photos. In the meantime, Ann grabbed a few shots of me working:

While in Central Park, we bumped into Joe Photo, an awesome photographer from Orange County, CA. Joe was also shooting an engagement session with his clients. So random meeting Joe in the middle of New York City! Good to see you, Joe!!!

Here's Joe and I with our clients. Notice Joe's clients aren't wearing any shoes? Well, as we walked away, we saw Joe direct his clients to stand in the middle of the fountain... well, you'll just have to check out his blog to see the shot!

After our session, Ann and I walked over to the Dakota, which is the apartments where John Lennon was killed. Here's a photo of the doorman. He actually was opening up the door to a town car for the legendary screen actress, Miss Lauren Bacall. Ann immediately spotted her, since she loves old movies and is a fan of Bogart and Bacall. Some of you may know this, but Ann's pug dog is named Bogie. She always wanted to get a second pug and name her Bacall, but Bogie likes being an only child. Also, we don't have a photo of Lauren. Both Ann and I respect people's privacy, especially when they're just going about their daily business. So, no shots of Miss Bacall, sorry.

Here's a few more shots. Here I am on the subway platform heading back to Brooklyn Heights, where our clients graciously loaned us their apartment while they're out of town. They are just a short walk from the Brooklyn Bridge.

And how cool is this? Walking along the new 42nd Street, I couldn't help but notice my logo!

Check back, we are going to a Broadway show and hitting some cool spots in the city.
