| Youth Advisory Meetings |
These meetings are held monthly by the Youth Advisory
in order to discuss what is currently happening and what we, as
a commission, can do to improve the city and it's relations with
it's youth.

| Monthly Youth
Dances |
These dances are for 5th-8th graders and are held
at the JFK Community Center from 7-10 p.m. on every 3rd Friday.
The cost is $3 for residents, and $5 for non-residents. Hosted by
the same D.J.'s that do the D.A.R.E. dances at Jamestown Sports
Center.

| Project Lift-Off |
A D.A.R.E sponsored party at the James J. Eagan Center
with a D.J., music, game room, ice skating, swimming, basketball
contests, a caricature artist, and door prizes. A drug free opportunity
for youth in 5th-8th grade to enjoy themselves. Free pizza and soda
will be distributed throughout the night.

| Snack with Santa |
A free event for the younger Florissant residents;
snacks drinks and door prizes are given out. Remember to bring a
camera to take a picture of your little one with Santa, Mrs. Claus,
and their helpers!

Easter Bunny |
Another FREE event for younger Florissant residents.
Like the snack with Santa, there are pictures, snacks, drinks, and
door prizes. Don't forget your camera!

| Christmas
Tree Lighting |
Held during December every year, this event celebrates
the lighting of Florissant's large Christmas tree. Before it is
lit, many of Florissant's talented singers and choirs sing Christmas
songs. After the tree is lit, Santa and his helpers are available
for pictures and prizes.

House Judging |
Every year the Youth Advisory travels around Florissant
and judges the houses entered into the Christmas tree lighting contest.
After the judging, they receive some surplus money from the Project
Lift-Off event to eat dinner and socialize at Pirrone's.

| Halloween Party |
Held at the James J. Eagan Center every year on Hallween
night, this party is supervised by Florissant police and the YAC,
giving kids the opportunity to have safe fun while they play games
and receive free candy.

| Kids World |
This City Cable show (Charter, channel 10) is hosted
by a Youth Advisory member and gives Florissant's youth more insights
on what's happening in Florissant and throughout the world.

| Splish-Splash
Summer Bash |
The Splish-Splash Summer Bash is held annually at
the Koch Park Family Aquatic Center. There is never a dull moment
at this water-filled night of fun; there are contests both in the
water and at the concession area, music all night, and, of course,
swimming; for kids grades 5-8.

| Tot Wheels
Parade |
The Tot Wheels Parade is held annually at the James
J. Eagan Center during the Florissant Valley of Flowers Celebration.
Kids in the city decorate bikes, trikes, cars, etc. and ride around
the JJE Center driveway; prizes are given to all, and the top three
are presented plaques on the podium at the Queen Crowning ceremony
on the next day.
