Dick, Mom and I!

Laundry day again and Moms meds soon. Even with brother Dick here now ... Mom is still a handful to care for.

Dick and I got Mom up a little today and took a few small steps, then we sat her down in her comfort chair for awhile. Dick tried to talk to her while I did some laundry.

Earlier in the day, thank Hospice aid Dorette for giving Mother a really good bed bath. Even showered Moms hair. Spruced her up good so Mom could rest more comfortably. As I mentioned in a earlier posting that Mom was ready to go after the last bath she received. So I was worried that it would affect her again the same way today.

Mom did say the other day, why can't I die, I want to go. I'm scared but ready. All I could say was I thought that God was preparing her special place for Her and trying to get Donald (Dad) to polish and wear his good shoes, and that God was not quite ready for you :)
I also mentioned that perhaps God wanted her to wait for a visit with number one boy Dick one last time today and have a visit from Linda, my Ex who was like a daughter to Betty. Who knows, I just know it is very close I fear.

Linda and her husband John did show up today to say hi to Mother. Linda brought mother a Cat, one that she lovingly hand made ... it is so cute and can also double as a pillow! Thanks Linda. Linda and John also brought some Home made Chinese hamburger, which we just ate and it was wonderful. Thanks Linda and John. They also had brought one of Moms favorites, again Home Made Macaroni and Cheese and some Brownies. Can't wait to get into those.

Well it is time to go. My face/mouth pain has been acting up a little, so may I ask for your prayers again. It was so heavenly to go a whole week with little or no pain. I could handle Mom that way so much easier.

Take care to you all. Love, Dave
