Joe's latest adventure!

Think he really enjoyed it, although it's hard to tell with Joe as he rarely wants to show his emotion of a place he has visited and experienced.

...We had a game of cribbage and afterwards spoke about some work book he was forced to read on sex offenders.... I told him just because you pushed a nurse on her chest once, (in a clinical drug induced coma at the time,) does not make you a sex offender. It is pretty bad that they have pigeon holed Joe as such and it weighs heavily on his already troubled mind. That they make him attend this group of losers is just more insult-on-injury! They have even refused poor Joe from going to an upcoming outing to the Portland Zoo as children may be present!?

...They had given Joe a work book of hypothetical questions on situations he may find himself in the real world, and how he would/should handle himself.... This seemed to click a small light on within him as just a new way to look at a sore point of contention with Joe.

I told Joe again if he was truly serious of wanting to become a Priest that he could use this to his advantage as a learning tool to understand how to treat and deal with these social misfits. Trying to show Joe that priest do not only say the mass on Sundays, but rather spend most their time dealing with the problems in their society, and not with the healthy, well-adjusted folk. After further elaboration on the subject with Joe, he seemed to be opened to the prospect of this positive new way of looking at his predicament. Hopefully he will approach this angle of thought with new zeal and look at the troubled people he has to spend time with as a precursor of a life the priesthood will expect and demand of him. :Dave troubled people hroubled people h roubled people h roubled people h roubled people h troubled proubled people h roubled people h roubled people h roubled people h roubled people h eople h Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress The B-17 Flying Fortress was the United States’ workhorse heavy bomber during World War II. Last Tuesday Joe had another outing, this time to the Air museum in McMinnville, Or. (Evergreen Aviation Museum.) Think he really enjoyed it, although it's hard to tell with Joe as he rarely wants to show his emotion of a place he has visited and experienced. Usually it's the same old tired response. You ask "Well Joe, how'd you like it" ... Joe responds, "Oh, it was alright". That's it, that's all you can expect. Here's the link for more pictures if you are interested. http://www.sprucegoose.org/

I went to visit Joe again yesterday as he had called and almost begged me to come visit him. He had nothing to do, was bored, really down and depressed. We had a game of cribbage and afterwards spoke about some work book he was forced to read on sex offenders. Poor Joe felt so bad they have categorized him as such.
That really hurt Joe.

They had given Joe a work book of hypothetical questions on situations he may find himself in the real world, and how he would/should handle himself. We worked on some answers for over an hour. Some of the questions were pretty tough to answer. Joe felt like it would be assuming guilt to answer them. I told him if he actually becomes a priest he'll need to deal with these type of characters. He should look at it instead as an opportunity, a book with answers he could use to help real perverts. This seemed to click a small light on within him as just a new way to look at a sore point of contention with Joe.
