Joes doing alright!
Well
Joe was doing real good last Fridays visit.
They were extra busy in the visiting
room so most people had to sit in the singles seats. The Sergeant I have been
talking with allowed Joe some leeway to sit wherever he choose as the sergeant
knows Joe's condition now and gives him some more slack. I was talking
(reminding) the Sergeant about Joe's clothing situation when Joe finally walked
in. Took me three weeks of reminders but this week the sergeant finally took
care of getting some new clothes for Joe. So next week Joe should look more
presentable.
After the Sergeant told
Joe he could sit wherever he pleased, Joe actually pick out a seat next to a
fellow inmate and his visiting wife. The inmate is a spanish translator who is
teaching Joe some spanish. That was a pleasant surprise since Joe normally would
have preferred to be somewhat secluded from the rest for his own (spitting)
privacy. It showed me that Joe was attempting to be a little more friendly than
he has been in the past. We actually had a game, although He barely squeaked by
a win in Cribbage on me, and then a lively conversation with this very
intelligent inmate friend of
Joe's.
Joe's still spitting
unfortunately and it still bothers him although he still will not go see the
docs about it. His choice!
It is late, I am
tired, goodnight and Happy New year to you all.
Soon to be snoring, ...
Dave
