Letter to Potential Wrestlers

The letter below is sent out to potential wrestlers, usually ninth graders, that the staff has identified during the fall. The Team Meeting is held just prior to the physical exam which all winter athletes are required to take.

Your name has been referred to us as a potential candidate for the XYZ High School Wrestling Team. It is our belief that with the proper training and conditioning and a little desire you could become a Champion Wrestler.

We must remind you, however, that wrestling is a demanding sport. Discipline and sacrifice are the key words to becoming a champion. Many would like to be a good wrestler, but few are willing to pay the price.

There will be an important meeting this Tuesday night, October 5, in Room 33 at the high school. The meeting will begin at 7 pm and last until 8 pm.
